Asteron Life started back in 1878 as Royal and Sun Alliance, Asteron Life as it is now known is part of Suncorp; a group who has over 9 million customers and AUD$96 billion in assets. The other sister companies in New Zealand are AA Life Insurance and Vero.
Asteron offer only insurance to new customers, however they still carry some old legacy investment products for some existing clients.
Asteron Life currently has a A+ (Strong) financial strength rating by Standard & Poor’s.
